Sussex care home is transformed into tropical paradise

Residents enjoyed a relaxing afternoon sipping cocktails to cheer up the winter blues when the lounge became a tropical island at HC-One’s Grosvenor Park care home in Bexhill-on-Sea.

Colleagues transformed the home into a stunning beach with inflatable palm trees, exotic animals, clay sand and even a treasure chest full of precious pirate loot.

Residents enjoyed a selection of cocktails and mocktails to taste test before snacking on fresh strawberries, mango and coconut.

One Resident commented: “Thank you for going to all this effort to make it look like a tropical island.”

Residents even played boules with coconuts to really immerse themselves in the tropical theme.

Everyone enjoyed their afternoon on a paradise island. The only thing missing was the sunshine but the cocktails and games certainly made up for that.
