At residential and nursing care home, Swallownest, one very happy Resident had his day made when he was able to watch his wife open her presents on her birthday.
Resident Edward Torr celebrated his wife’s birthday with her via a video call scheduled by home Colleagues today.
Edward’s wife, Jean, is in another care home so bringing them together on her birthday was a pleasure for Colleagues to be part of.
During the call, Edward remarked, “How beautiful is my wife.”
Edward could watch as Jean open her presents and cards and then sand ‘Happy Birthday’ to her. He was also able to video call with their daughter June as well which was the cherry on top of a lovely day.
Edward added, “I miss my wife and I’m so happy to see her today on her birthday.”
Amanda Fields, Home Manager, commented, “Edward’s family were so happy we could arrange this for them on Jean’s birthday.”
