Tameside care home Resident festivitiesThis December has been a busy week at the Beeches residential care home, on Tameside, as Residents have enjoyed lots of festivities.

Residents have enjoyed a virtual Christmas service from St John’s Church. Trevor from St John’s read the story of Christmas and what Christmas means. Then all involved sang some lovely Christmas carols and ended with prayers for the home and Christmas wishes from the whole of St John’s Church.

Residents and Colleagues then enjoyed Christmas fun with music from Samantha Jones, who sang all the Christmas favourites, and Residents enjoyed several games of Christmas bingo. They finished with a buffet, drinks and lots of fun and laughter.

Also this month, staff sang Christmas carols to the Residents during the home’s coffee morning where they also held a raffle to raise money for treats for the Residents in the new year.

Everyone agreed that it has been a busy week but has been so nice to see everyone smiling and getting into the Christmas spirit.

Sade, Wellbeing Coordinator, remarked, “It’s been such a lovely week celebrating Christmas with all our different activities, seeing families and just seeing everyone happy is much needed.”
