The Christmas spirit is alive for Liverpool ResidentsThroughout November the wellbeing team at Mersey Parks care home, contacted the local community and received a fantastic donation.

The local community centre, The Florrie, are presenting a winter wonderland display for the community. Due to current times, Colleagues are unable to take Residents to enjoy the display. Kindly The Florrie have donated three beautiful Christmas trees for Residents to enjoy in their housed gardens area.

The Residents helped to put up each tree in their garden areas. The home is now awaiting some lights to make the trees look very festive.

Karen, Mia and Mattie, Wellbeing Coordinators, commented, “What a lovely gesture.”

“Once we receive the lights we will be hosting a switch on to involve hot chocolate, mince pies and Christmas music.”

Residents loved the fresh trees and the smell of them. One said, “It’s lovely to see the trees.”

Karen McGrady, Home Manager, remarked, “We were thrilled to be the lucky beneficiary of such a kind gesture. The Christmas spirit is alive in Liverpool.”
