The Mad Hatter tea party for Tividale ResidentsWest Midlands care home, Warrens Hall, enjoyed a ‘Mad Hatter’ (Alice in Wonderland) themed tea party today and there were smiles all around!

Colleagues Stacey Morrall, Sally Hill and Susan Lawton, helped to organise a brilliant day, “We dressed the dining room and Lounge with decorations from Alice in Wonderland, including the Mad Hatter, to give our Residents the whole Tea Party experience.”

The team dressed up as different characters including, Alice, The White Rabbit, The Queen and Playing Cards. Residents wore their silly hats, glasses and used different props to have their photo taken.

Susan, admin Colleague, dressed as The White Rabbit and sang for the Residents, she even got them to sing with her!

Carer, Sally, said, “We all enjoyed tea and a selection of cakes which were served by our very own Alice.”

Residents had some brilliant comments too, “It’s made me laugh until I cried, it really was such a silly day!”

Another said, “All the fun today has really made my week, the staff were so funny!”

Home Manager, Kalmit Jagpal, remarked, “I'm proud of my team, they understand how important a day like today is for our Residents, everyone had big smiles on their faces. Mad Hatter Days are a real success here at Warrens Hall, everyone looks forward to the tea-party and being silly for a day.”
