The Westbury goes Bond… James Bond! The Westbury residential and nursing care home, in Wiltshire, hosted their own James Bond theme party today.

In the week leading up to the event, the Residents helped by painting and assembling some of the props needed to make it look authentic.

The Residents were also given a quiz to complete which had three answers to choose from for each question, all themed around James Bond and all his films.
Everyone enjoyed being involved in the preparations and all thoroughly enjoyed the day where the lounge was set up as the ‘Casino Royale’ portraying scenes in the iconic James Bond movie.

Colleagues had even organised for a James Bond 007 cake with cupcakes decorated as targets. There was also a buffet and lots to drinks including juice, sherry, baileys and one of the Residents helped by making a mocktail for the Residents.

People involved in the day enjoyed getting dressed up and being part of something different. One of the Residents commented, “A day with a difference. Looks really good and has the atmosphere of a casino. What a wonderful afternoon with some good fun!”

Theresa Chacko, Care Home Manager, remarked, “A lovely afternoon for the Residents, something a little different that they all enjoyed and had a laugh and some fun posing.”
