Upwood care home Residents enjoy first garden party of the yearResidents at HC-One’s Manor House care home in Upwood recently enjoyed their first garden party of the year this April, as the sun shone above the home.

On 22nd April, temperatures reached as high as 18 degrees in Cambridgeshire so Colleagues at HC-One’s Manor House care home thought this would be the opportune time to organise the first garden party of the year for Residents.

Colleagues set up a speaker so Residents could listen to some music of their choice and even enjoy a little dance if they wanted to. Residents also enjoyed playing some classic fair games, including hook a duck and skittles which really brought out their competitive side.

Some more laidback Manor House Residents decided to sunbathe in the homes beautiful garden and just enjoyed being outside with some fresh air and the birds tweeting away.

The fun filled day ended, as the sun began to set, with a nice cup of tea and a slice of lemon cake and a picnic party indoors to finish the evening.

Manor House care home Manager, said: “Residents enjoyed being outside in the sun, they don’t want to go back inside!”

Located in the pretty village of Upwood, near Ramsey in Cambridgeshire, Manor House is a friendly care home with 37 beds, that offers residential, nursing and nursing dementia care.
