Valentine’s Day celebrations at Victoria Park

Victoria Park care home enjoyed a romantic Valentine’s Day as Residents celebrated with their loved ones.

The day’s activities started with a performance from entertainment group Velvet Souls, followed by a love-themed afternoon tea.

Residents were surprised with Valentine’s gifts, including a single red rose and chocolates for the ladies and socks and chocolates for the gentlemen, which were kindly paid for after a donation from Mrs Wharton, whose late husband was a Resident at the home for many years. Flowers were also presented to Mrs Wharton as a show of appreciation.

One Resident commented: “What a lovely way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, I really liked all the personal touches.”

Julie Lister, Home Manager, said: “Everyone really enjoyed the activities for Valentine’s Day at Victoria Park. We made every effort to put thought into our gestures, which were given to Residents with kindness and care.”
