Residents and Relatives at
Eastbourne House, residential and residential dementia care home, in Whitley Bay hosted a very special meal for Valentines Day.
Relatives and friends of the Residents were invited to to join with their loved ones for a meal for Valentines Day.
The downstairs lounge was set up in the fashion of a fancy restaurant with Valentine’s Day themed table decorations and, the Wellbeing Team served as waiters.
The tables were laid with Valentine’s tablecloths and bottles of wine, of course!
The brilliant kitchen Colleagues presented a fantastic menu of Risotto or Muscles to start, salmon or steak for mains, with meringue or soufflé for dessert.
Resident, Dorothy, said, “The food was amazing and the company was even better.”
The menu and lovely wines on offer were certainly a highlight, fit for any dining experience. Foremostly, it was an absolute delight to see the Residents and their loved ones enjoying each other’s company and smiling together. A proper Valentine’s Day celebration.
Val, a daughter of one of the Residents, said, “This was the perfect way to celebrate Valentines Day.”
Tom, a Resident, added, “It really felt like we were eating out in a restaurant.”
