VE Day celebrations at Boston care homeResidents at HC-One’s The Gardens care home in Boston celebrated VE Day with a good old sing along to some British classics and some tasty food.

On the morning of 8th May, Residents and Colleagues at The Gardens sat down for their breakfast and discussed plans for their VE Day celebrations.

Colleagues decorated the home with union jack buntings and handed up some union jack hats and flags for Residents to use on the day. Throughout the day, Residents enjoyed watched some TV, snacked on some hot dogs and onions and enjoyed some lovely cake for their tea.

In the evening, Residents enjoyed a small tipple, including Baileys on ice and enjoyed a sing along with other Residents and Colleagues.

The Gardens Home Manager said: “VE Day is an important day for our Residents. Some may have served and some Residents have family who served in both wars.”
