HC-One’s Bridgewater Park care home in Scunthorpe commemorated Victory in Europe Day on Saturday 8th May.
Residents and team members came together to celebrate VE day, delicious cakes were prepared by the kitchen team and wartime music played in the background as Residents enjoyed refreshments and shared stories of ways they have celebrated past VE days with their friends and family.
A great day was had by all, with one Resident commenting that they can’t wait till they can celebrate events like this with friends, family and the rest of the local community once again.
Bridgewater Home Manager, Melanie Walton said: “I am pleased that everyone enjoyed our VE day celebrations, the smiles on our Resident’s faces really said it all.”
