Wakefield care home Resident rediscovers passion for pianoElizabeth Hayley, a Resident at HC-One’s Snapethorpe Hall care home in Lupset, Wakefield recently rediscovered her passion for the piano.

During a ‘stop the clock’ session, Elizabeth shared with team members at Snapethorpe Hall that she used to love playing the piano and had often wondered if she would be able to play the organ in the care home.

The next day, the team had arranged for Elizabeth to have a go on the home’s organ which she thoroughly enjoyed. Elizabeth will now be having regular practice sessions on the organ until she feels confident enough to perform for her fellow Residents and the team.

Elizabeth commented: “I’m a bit rusty but I’m really enjoying it again.”

Snapethorpe Hall Home Manager, John Cairnes said: “It’s wonderful that Elizabeth has been rediscovering her passion in life, hearing her practicing is amazing and I am looking forward to watching her perform for us all when she is ready.”

Located on Snapethorpe Gate, Snapethorpe Hall care home offers short and long term care packages for old ladies and gentlemen that require residential care, nursing care and memory care for those living with dementia.
