Westbury Residents take part in baking competitionThe Residents at the Westbury residential and nursing care home, in Wiltshire, joined Colleagues in the lounge for the great ‘Bake-Off’ competition.

In the morning, the Residents mixed all their ingredients for their cakes with a little assistance from the home’s chef and then put them into the cake tins to be baked in the oven.

Those that took part enjoyed the experience and said it brought back memories of when they were at home.

In the afternoon Residents set about icing their cakes and did a very good job. The cakes were photographed with the Residents and the entries were sent off.

All the Residents were pleased with their efforts and some preferred to watch and enjoyed giving their support.

Residents thoroughly enjoyed the competition with one commenting, “Thank you. Looking forward to doing it again.”

Theresa Chacko, Care Home Manager, remarked, “It was nice to see the Residents involved and enjoying the experience.”
