Carrington Court care home in Hindley, Wigan are celebrating success after Residents and Relatives voted them as one of the Top 20 recommended care homes in the North West in the carehome.co.uk awards 2023. This marks Carrington Court’s second year in the prestigious top 20 group.
Carehome.co.uk, the UK's leading care home directory and comparison website, holds its annual Care Home Awards to recognise the 20 top-rated care homes in each region of the UK. These are based on individual review scores that carehome.co.uk have received from Residents, and their friends, family and loved ones, demonstrating real life opinions and first-hand experiences from those most closely connected to the home.
HC-One were also awarded the Top 20 Large Care Home Group 2023 Award which recognises the Top 20 Care Home Groups in the UK based on reviews from Residents, their family and friends, and other service users.
Carrington Court received an overall rating of 9.9/10 based on independent reviews, in recognition of the high standards of care provided at the home – which provides nursing services for the local community. The 48-bed home received a CQC ‘Good’ report in March 2021in all categories, demonstrating that the home is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
Carrington Court is a friendly and welcoming care home with lots of space and communal areas which are used to relax, dine, socialise and exercise. Many of the rooms offer splendid views of the large, landscaped garden which is often used on sunny days as a favourite spot to catch up with loved ones.
HC-One is committed to providing the highest standards of care in every community they serve, which is demonstrated by their 9.5/10 average rating on the carehome.co.uk website – which is among the highest review scores across the care home sector.

In total, 24 HC-One homes received awards for being among the Top 20 care homes in their respective regions with three receiving awards for being in the Top 20 Care Homes in the North West of England.
