Wish comes true for Sunderland care home ResidentA Resident of HC-One’s Ashbourne Lodge care home in Ashbrooke, Sunderland wish to visit their home town came true thanks to the team.

When the return of mini day trips was allowed at Ashbourne Lodge, the team arranged for a trip to Seaham for the Residents. The trip was arranged to visit Seaham because Ivy Gippert had shared lots of memories of growing up there, it an emotional moment as she drove along Seaham harbour.

Everyone had a wonderful day at the seaside, especially Ivy who commented: “I really cannot thank the staff enough for making this dream come true I never thought I would get to see my home town again.”

Ashbourne Lodge Home Manager, Punam Randhawa said: “I am so pleased that we were able to make Ivy’s dream come true, the smile on her face really said it all.”

Situated in The Cedars, Ashbourne Lodge care home offers short and long term care packages for people in Sunderland that require residential memory care for those living with dementia.
