Wonderful October news for Preston care homeIt’s been a week of some wonderful, positive news for Meadow Bank residential, nursing and nursing memory care home, in Bamber Bridge, as a diamond wedding anniversary was celebrated, as well as a new home for a stray cat. 

Meadow Bank care home have given a new home to stray cat, Manny (pictured left). Manny was abandoned and a regular visitor to the home. Staff and Residents built up such on bond that it was clear he was meant to be a new Resident. 

Manny is bringing so much love and joy to staff and Resident's and loves having lots of cuddle. He has brought so much joy to the unit and has made special friends with Care Assistant Catherine, also pictured. She said, “It’s so lovey we can give Manny a safe and happy home.”

Also, this week, Colleagues and Residents had the pleasure of congratulating and celebrating Eileen and Eddie's, who live at the home, diamond wedding anniversary. 

Staff decorated a beautiful table and displayed the happy couples wedding album. They received a special card from the queen and the afternoon was accompanied with music, dancing and food was enjoyed by all.

Residents loved seeing the happy couple enjoy this special day together. And many wished them congratulations on their 60th anniversary. 

Home Manager, Nigel Francis, remarked, “It's lovely to help the happy couple celebrate such a milestone in their lives.”
