Worsley Residents enjoy Christmas with extra donationsIn the run up to Christmas at Worsley Lodge residential care home, in Manchester, everyone has been busy celebrating and enjoyed a rather special donation too.

On 24th December a Christmas party lunch and raffle was held at the home. Residents enjoyed their buffet lunch while Anne, Home Manager, told some Christmas jokes afterwards.

Colleagues then did some carol singing and there were lots of singing and dancing by all!

Later in the day, there was a selection of drinks cakes and a raffle on offer, where all Residents received a prize, which they were delighted with!

Everyone said that they had a good day, which was full of Christmas joy.

One Resident remarked, “A lovely day of fun. I really enjoyed it.”

On 22nd December, the home received donations from the local Dancing with Dementia group. Residents enjoyed all the new crocheted cushions and blankets donated from the group.

Margaret M and Lillian, who live at Worsley Lodge, both claimed their cushions, which they love!

Resident Margaret P claimed the blanket which she uses every day and says it keeps her lovely and warm.

One of the Residents remarked, “What a lovely gesture, it is really appreciated. We would like to say thank you to them all!”

Anne remarked, “It is nice to see Residents keeping in touch with the community, and the community caring and supporting our home.”
