Daneside Court Care Home Welcomes Special Visitor Isla the Therapy DogResidents at HC-One’s Daneside Court Care Home in Northwich, Cheshire, were delighted to welcome a very special visitor recently from Isla, a beloved pet therapy dog.

During her visit, Isla spent time with residents, who enjoyed patting, stroking, and talking to her. The visit brought smiles, laughter, and a sense of comfort to everyone at the home.

Pet therapy is known to have numerous benefits for older adults, particularly those living in care settings. Interacting with animals can help reduce feelings of loneliness and stress, improve mood, stimulate memory and conversation, and encourage gentle physical activity. For residents at Daneside Court, Isla’s visit offered all of these benefits, alongside the simple joy of companionship and unconditional love.

Isla’s visit was another example of the care home’s dedication to creating a warm, welcoming, and joyful environment for all its residents.

Samantha Farahat, Home Manager at HC-One’s Daneside Court Care Home said:
