Exceptional North East Regional Director named as winner of ‘The Outstanding Contribution to SocialHC-One’s Regional Director, Lisa Morehead has been victorious in winning the ‘The Outstanding Contribution to Social Care Award’ Category at the North East Region of the Great British Care Awards 2022 which took place on Thursday 10th November 2022 at the Grand Hotel Gosforth Park in Newcastle. 

The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional awards which take place throughout the UK, recognising excellence across the sector and acknowledging the hard work shown by individuals in within their field of work across 23 different award categories. 

Lisa was announced the winner of ‘The Outstanding Contribution to Social Care Award’ which is a special award presented by judges, due to Lisa’s outstanding long-term contribution to social care. 

Lisa inspires her Colleagues through her strong leadership, providing exceptional care throughout the 57 homes in the North East region of which she is responsible for.

Lisa has previously worked as a Registered Manager and a Psychiatric Nurse in the private, public and charity sectors. Lisa supports Home Managers in driving up quality and overseeing homes in her area which provide care for a mixture of client groups including residential, nursing, dementia and acquired brain injury. Across the homes, she has six CQC ‘Outstanding’ rated homes. 

Lisa is actively involved with many initiatives across HC-One including the ‘Wellbeing Project’ and ‘Project Outstanding’ and sees this as an integral part of her job role to deliver best practice. This is evident in the amount of ‘Blue Marshmallows’ (the name given to HC-One’s innovative ideas programme) that she has put forward, including the ‘Proud File’, which is now used across all HC-One homes to evidence the outcomes and quality of life for Residents and has tangibly contributed to evidencing outstanding care across homes.

Lisa is also a finalist in the ‘Care Operations/Area Manager Award’ Category at the upcoming National Care Awards 2022 taking place on Saturday 26th November 2022 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge.  

Lisa Morehead, Regional Director at HC-One and winner of ‘The Outstanding Contribution to Social Care Award’ at the North East Region of the Great British Care Awards 2022, said:

HC-One had three winners in total at the North East Region of the Great British Care Awards 2022 across a variety of award categories, as well as two Colleagues being announced as ‘Highly Commended’ in their respective award categories. 

Lisa and the other winners of the Regional Great British Care Awards 2022 will now progress to the National Finals of the Great British Care Awards 2023 taking place on Friday 17th March 2023 at the ICC in Birmingham.
