HC-One announces Stephen Butterworth as Executive Director for OperationsStephen Butterworth has been appointed as HC-One’s Executive Director for Operations.
 
James Tugendhat, who has been HC-One’s Chief Executive since September 2020, appointed Stephen to this new role at the end of last year. In this role, Stephen will be leading operations across all of HC-One’s homes and its domiciliary care services, supporting HC-One’s mission to be the first choice for families, Colleagues, and commissioners. Stephen will be spearheading the operational direction of the company, working closely with HC-One’s senior management team, its regional teams, and central support team, to support its care services.
 
Stephen’s promotion to the position of Executive Director for Operations follows a successful career at HC-One. Since joining in 2012, Stephen has worked in a number of operational and senior positions across the business, leading a number of high-profile transformation projects, as well as the High Impact Projects and Colleague Deployment teams, before being appointed to his most recent role of Managing Director in 2017. In this role, Stephen was responsible for the quality, regulatory compliance and commercial performance of care homes in his portfolio in the North East of England.
