HC-One colleagues celebrated at the Scottish Care Home Awards 2025

HC-One is delighted to share the success of our colleagues who were recognised at the Scottish Care Home Awards 2025, held on Friday 14th November.

The event celebrated excellence across social care in Scotland, highlighting the individuals and teams who make a meaningful difference every day.

Four HC-One colleagues were proudly named as finalists across a range of categories, reflecting the skill, dedication and compassion shown throughout our homes across Scotland:

• Joanne Cunningham, Redmill care home – Leadership Award Winner

• Amy Buddin, Springfield Bank care home – Training, Learning & Staff Development Award

• William Coats, Quayside care home – Nutrition & Eating Well Award

• Kirsty Smith, Barleystone care home – Care Worker of the Year

We are especially pleased to announce that Joanne Cunningham has won the Leadership Award, recognising her inspiring contribution to Redmill care home in East Whitburn. Joanne is known for her energy, authenticity and the strong relationships she builds with both colleagues and residents. Her commitment to creating a warm, supportive environment has made a remarkable impact on daily life within the home.

Joanne’s success, along with the achievements of Amy, William and Kirsty, reflects the dedication, professionalism and kindness shown by colleagues across our Scottish homes.

The Scottish Care Home Awards serve as an important reminder of the vital role care workers, leaders and support teams play across adult social care in Scotland. We are incredibly proud of our finalists and congratulate all winners and nominees from this year’s ceremony.
