HC-One formally launches HC-One Scotland with 51 care homesHC-One, the Kind Care Company, which operates 51 care homes providing residential, nursing and dementia care across Scotland has today formally launched ‘HC-One Scotland’, bringing all HC-One care homes in Scotland together under one banner and trading name.

The launch of HC-One Scotland builds on and formalises the close-knit network of Residents and Colleagues across its care homes. It will also be the banner under which HC-One’s care homes and support teams in Scotland will be engaging with external stakeholders.

In due course, HC-One Scotland will be opening a training centre and office adjacent to HC-One’s Quayside care home. This will provide a base for HC-One Scotland as well as provide a meeting space and a training hub for Colleagues across Scotland. A new logo has been launched for HC-One Scotland, and HC-One’s homes will be receiving newly branded materials and signage over the coming months.

There will be no change in legal entity, HC-One Scotland is a trading name.

The launch of HC-One Scotland comes during Care Home Open Week (taking place 26th June – 2nd July), and one of the ways that HC-One Scotland is celebrating the week is through a ‘Listening Leaders’ initiative. Senior Colleagues at HC-One will have the opportunity to spend a day in a HC-One Scotland care home, fulfilling a care-home-based role under supervision such as a Wellbeing Coordinator, Gardener/Maintenance Operative, Laundry Assistant, and Kitchen Assistant.

As well as being a way to celebrate Care Home Open Week, this initiative will also further enhance participants’ understanding of working in a care home, finding out more about the support that they can provide to Colleagues in HC-One Scotland’s care homes, with the overall aim of further enhancing the care provided to Residents.

Maxine Smedley, Managing Director, HC-One Scotland, said:

“I’m delighted that we are launching HC-One Scotland today. This really brings together all the amazing people we have living and working in our care homes.

“We are always striving to deliver the best possible care to Residents in the communities we serve in Scotland, and this unwavering focus will continue as we move forward together as HC-One Scotland.

“HC-One Scotland’s Listening Leaders initiative is just one of the ways we are doing this, and I’m really looking forward to taking part in this and hearing the great stories and insights that come out of this, as we work to support Residents to lead their best lives.”
