This summer, HC-One is celebrating members of the LGBTQ+ community living and working in our care homes – whose stories, identities and experiences inspire us all. To show our support, we’ve been showcasing our HC-One Pride logo across our channels throughout Pride Month in June.
Across our family of care homes, our kind, caring communities have joined Pride events and organised celebrations for residents, showing our commitment to inclusion, diversity and equality in social care.
Pride Weekends in Darlington, Glasgow and beyond
Members of our HC-One team joined Darlington Borough Council in the celebrations at Darlington Pride 2025, meeting with members of the community and sharing conversations about inclusion, diversity and kindness in all its forms.
North of the border, HC-One Scotland colleagues came together for Glasgow Pride, joining the parade and community events in the city.
Among the team attending on the day was Finlay Milner, Area Director, who said:
“We championed inclusion, celebrated individuality, and flew the rainbow flag for a sector where everyone should feel they belong.” Anne Clark, home administrator at The Village care home in Glasgow, added: “It was a brilliant day spent with colleagues, showing support for the LGBTQ+ community and being part of such a positive and inclusive event.”
Pride celebrations in HC-One care homes
Our care homes have also been marking Pride Month with residents. Fairway View care home in Nottingham welcomed a fabulous drag queen show for an afternoon of laughter, dancing and new experiences. In Wales, Meadowlands care home in Aberdare held a colourful rainbow party, bringing residents, colleagues and the local community together.
From local care home events to national Pride parades, Pride Month 2025 at HC-One is about more than celebration – it’s about creating an inclusive care environment where everyone feels respected, valued and able to be themselves.
