HC-One Wales A new regional identity launched by HC-One

HC-One has launched its new Welsh identity by opening an office at the Quarry Hall Care Home in Cardiff.

Under the banner of HC-One Wales, the care provider aims to strengthen its internal operations and collaborate with organisations within the unique Welsh regional health sector. This initiative seeks to establish a stronger identity and build deeper connections throughout the country.

From Swansea and Neath to Merthyr Tydfil and Port Talbot, Home Managers from all 14 HC-One Wales care homes attended the office opening, marking the beginning of a new era of regional collaboration.

Situated in the heart of the Welsh capital, the new office offers extensive meeting spaces and provides a centralised location for training and upskilling HC-One’s Welsh colleagues—without requiring them to travel outside the country.

Building on its commitment to meeting community needs across Wales, HC-One believes this regional focus will enhance its ability to deliver specialist dementia care services while championing kind and quality care in all its homes.

The establishment of HC-One Wales reflects the organisation’s dedication to fostering strong relationships within the country. Leadership teams are confident the new identity will strengthen ties with commissioners, local authorities, and the wider community of Welsh residents and their families.

HC-One Wales has also placed Welsh culture and identity at the heart of its operations, ensuring that the Welsh language features prominently throughout the new office signage and encouraging colleagues and residents to celebrate their heritage.

Carol Dight, Regional Director for HC-One Wales, said:
“HC-One Wales is more than just a banner under which we operate—it brings all our colleagues in the region closer to the people we serve and provides a focal point to help us achieve our purpose.

“This new identity marks a key milestone in the way we operate within Wales, building on our strong foundations to deliver kind and quality care. Introducing HC-One Wales not only recognises the unique ways we work in the region but also helps us understand the distinct needs and desires of our residents across all 14 homes.”

Catrin Hooper, Home Manager at Llys Newydd Care Home, added:
“Everyone at the home holds their Welsh identity close to their hearts, and it’s vital that this is reflected in how we provide care.

“Having an identity solely focused on delivering kind care in Wales is a fantastic step forward. It recognises the unique challenges of providing care in the region while allowing us to benefit from the resources of a large organisation. HC-One Wales will bring our 14 homes closer together, enabling us to work more collaboratively, and we’re excited to be part of this journey.”
