Spennymoor care home Resident celebrates his 100th birthdayFrank Pinkney, a Resident at Lothian House care home in Spennymoor, celebrated this 100th birthday on the 9th November 2022.

He had a visit from the local town Mayor Dean Ranyard, who presented him with a gift of Chocolates and biscuits and Spenny News photographer took photos of the visit.

Frank received a card from His Majesty King Charles, and he was over the moon!

Celebrating turning 100 is so special, but Frank said, “What’s all this fuss about!”

Frank has said that he didn't want a fuss, however his family did take him to see Middlesbrough football club play at the Riverside on Saturday the 5th.

Middlesbrough is Franks favourite football club and was thrilled to be able to see them play.

He had a lovely birthday, spent with family and friends.

Jill Carr, Care Home Manager, remarked, “What an amazing achievement for Frank. It’s lovely that he can still enjoy all the things he likes in life.”
