About our home

Situated just outside Glasgow in the peaceful residential area of Uddington, Highgate is a friendly care home with 80 beds that offers nursing and nursing dementia care.

Highgate recently underwent an extensive refurbishment programme which transformed communal areas including dining rooms, lounges/day rooms, reception area, bathrooms and corridors. During the refurbishment, each area was thoughtfully deigned to enhance the daily life of every Resident and support the mind, body and soul.

We are conveniently situated in Uddingston, just a short drive from Glasgow city centre and close to the M74 (Junction 3A). From the M74, take the exit for Uddingston, then follow signs toward Old Edinburgh Road. The home is located along this main road in a quiet residential area. Free on-site parking is available for visitors.

By Bus
Regular local bus services operate between Glasgow city centre, Bellshill, Hamilton, and surrounding areas. Bus stops are located along Old Edinburgh Road, within easy walking distance of the home. Please check First Bus Glasgow timetables for up-to-date service information.

By Train
