About our home

At Sutherland Court, life feels like home from the moment you arrive. Our welcoming lounges, bright dining spaces and peaceful gardens offer plenty of places to relax, socialise and enjoy time with friends and family. Many residents love our on-site hair salon and the landscaped garden - often tended with pride by residents themselves. Every bedroom is light, comfortable and wheelchair accessible, with some opening directly onto the garden.

Our caring team has created a real family atmosphere, where everyone is encouraged to share meals, celebrate milestones and make happy memories together. Residents are welcome to bring their own furniture and treasured belongings to make their room truly feel their own.

Led by our compassionate Home Manager, the Sutherland Court team provides tailored care that supports each resident’s individual needs, preferences and routines. Every care plan is personal - covering health, wellbeing, diet, faith, hobbies and family input - to ensure every day feels comfortable, fulfilling and full of kindness.

How to find us

Sutherland Court Care Home is located on Westminster Road in the Fenham area of Newcastle upon Tyne, just a short distance from the city centre.

If you’re travelling by car, we’re easily reached via Fenham Hall Drive or the A167, with on-street parking available nearby.

Regular bus services stop close to the home. Routes 12, 38, and 39 run between Newcastle city centre and Fenham, with the nearest stops just a few minutes’ walk away on Fenham Hall Drive and Wingrove Road.

For those arriving by train, Newcastle Central Station is around 10 minutes away by taxi or bus, providing convenient links to surrounding areas.
